Hi All

So after a year of challenges  and many delays,  Above The Fold has finally been printed. I was lucky enough to be on press two weeks ago to oversee the process and it couldn't have gone better. The book is currently been bound and will be delivered to me here in the UK on September 21st.

For those of you who purchased framed prints these have also been produced and look incredible. Below below are some images from the printing process and a sample of some of the limited edition prints. 

Thanks again to you all, it's going to be worth the wait :)

Hi All

Just to let you all know that we are back on track with Above The Fold. We expect to be printing in early July as promised and I will update you again when we have exact dates. 

At the moment we are working on the final files for our first round of  wet-proofs and we are looking forward to finally holding these beauties in our hands. For those of you who bought prints as part of your pledge, I will be emailing each of you a catalogue of images from which you can choose. You will receive this in the next two weeks, so you will and have plenty of time to decide.

As proofs and prints begin to arrive over the next few weeks I will update you all with some images when I can. Please pop over to Insta @noelbowler where you can also DM me if you have any questions.

Above The Fold by Noel Bowler Update #7 - Covid Production Delay

Hi All

It's been a challenging couple of months for everyone through this Covid winter, but there is finally some spring sunlight at the end of the tunnel. While we had remained stubbornly optimistic that we could begin the production of Above The Fold in March of this year, unfortunately this challenge has proven too great. With our network of printers, publishers and designers split between Ireland, UK and Europe, the extended lockdown restrictions have prevented us from travelling to oversee the production at this time. So with this in mind, we have been forced to push back the production of the publication and its associated awards until July 2021.  So, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all of you again for your continued support, patience and understanding while we try and navigate through these uncertain timelines.

In other more positive news,  Above The Fold  has been given a 10 page spread (hardcopy) in Esquire magazine (Russia) and an online feature too.  I'm delighted with the continued broad exposure that this project continues to garner from around the world. Hello All

I just want to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy and healthy 2021. The 'light at the end of the tunnel' seems brighter already :)

BackerKit Survey

Most of you by now have filled out the BackerKit Survey confirming your pledges and providing your necessary shipping details. For those that have not yet filled it out, please do so when you get a chance.

Production Timeline

While the new Covid lockdown measures in most of our countries are causing some slight delays with samples from our European printers and designers, the good news is that we still appear to be on track to print and ship the book along with your all of your rewards in March 2021. We are doing our best here at Above The Fold HQ to ensure everything is continuing to run safely and smoothly.

For book printing and production it is important for us to be present 'on press' to witness the printing and for quality control, this is standard practice. This of course involves transport and air travel so we will be continuing to keep an eye on all govt guidelines and restrictions. When we have a definitive date I will update you all accordingly.

Hi All

Just a quick update to keep you all in the loop. We have now completed our ‘Backer Survey’ with the help of our good friends over at BackerKit.

What is a Backer Survey?

The backer survey is a complete list of pledges that were available from the Above The Fold campaign. This will allow you to confirm what pledges/products you have purchased and to supply some shipping details for the delivery of you pledges. The survey will also give backers a unique opportunity to add any extras to your order like a tote bag, and extra copy of the book or any other of the awards available.

What happens next?

Today, BackerKit will be sending out the first test of these surveys to a random 5% of you. When these are returned to us and we are confident that the system is efficient, we will begin rolling out the remaining surveys over the next few weeks.
